Under overcast skies with the wind blowing out of the southwest, 70 kayak fishing anglers competed in the first annual Indian River kayak fishing tournament with proceeds going to Coastal Charities. The Paddle Classis was a Catch-Photograph-Relase (CPR) event. The Brevard Zoo, Strike Zone Fishing, Grills Seafood and Tiki Bar, Hook 1 and DriGrip were some of the many sponsors who donated tournament prizes and items for the Captain's Bags. Prizes and trophies were awarded in the Redfish, Trout, Sn…

I got a chance to try out Dri Grip last Saturday. Typical Texas September day, bright sun and hot. I only needed to apply sunscreen to my face, hands, and lower arms. I really like how Dri Grip dries to a powder like feel. No greasiness at all. I spent over 7 hours on the water with no sunburn to any of my exposed skin. Admittedly, I don't leave much exposed but was happy with the feel of the product on my face. Most importantly, I was fishing with live shrimp and finger mullet. I tempted fate a…

WOW!!
I just got back from fishing a hard couple of days and was using DriGrip for the first time. All I have to say is that this is a great product, and Pat was right, once you use it, it is all you want to use.
I was intially very skeptical about the "fish friendly" ads, but I'm telling you, you could pour this stuff directly on your live baits and it would not effect one thing. I am a live bait fanatic, and go to great lengths to keep my bait alive and unharmed -- and the one thing you NEVE…

Rodney Smith and the folks at Coastal Angler Magazine and the many volunteers pulled off another great Hook Kids on Fishing event at the Melbourne Boast Show April 18th at the Melbourne, FL auditorium. I lost count but about twenty-five (25) kids and their parents, grandparents and/or guardians attended. All the kids who attended received a free fishing rod and a small tackle box. The event was supported by many organizations, Fish Florida, D.O.A, and DriGrip to name a few. Special thanks go out…
